KTS High-Temperature, High-Pressure Top Entry Metal Seat Ball Valve Registered on Korea Tech Market
KTS’s high-temperature, high-pressure Top Entry Metal Seat Ball Valve has been registered on Korea Tech Market as a technology jointly certified by Korea’s six power generation companies.
KTS’s High Temperature & High Pressure Top Entry Metal Seat Ball Valve has been registered on Korea Tech Market as a certified technology, with first certification on September 30, 2026. The certification was granted jointly by Korea’s six power generation companies — KOEN, KOSPO, EWP, KOWEPO, KHNP, and KOMIPO — and is valid through December 31, 2031.
Drain and vent systems in combined-cycle power plants operate repeatedly under high-temperature, high-pressure steam conditions, so the sealing performance, durability, and maintainability of their valves directly affect the operating reliability of the plant.
With conventional side entry ball valves, replacing internal parts requires cutting the pipe, removing the valve, re-welding, heat treatment, and non-destructive examination (NDE). This has been a major cause of longer planned outages and higher maintenance costs.
To shorten planned outages, raise plant availability, and reduce maintenance costs, power plants need a high-reliability ball valve whose internals can be inspected and replaced without separating it from the pipeline. The KTS Top Entry Metal Seat Ball Valve is designed to meet that need: its internals are accessed from the top while the valve body stays welded in line.
With this registration, KTS will continue to expand the supply of its top entry ball valves to power plants in Korea and abroad.
